New Wheels

Aly is sporting some thinner tires! =)
OLD...

NEW AND IMPROVED!!

My LBS told me to be careful with the brakes... He said that the breaks on a Hybrid bike will wear down these tires quickly if I am not careful. He also said, sometimes people experience the smaller gears of a hybrid bike, as compared to a road bike, can not keep up with these smaller tires.  Has anyone experienced this before?

Happy weekend to you all!

  2. Awesome! I never had a hybrid, but if that's what the guy says then it must be true, so be careful! Happy Weekend back at ya!

  3. Nice! I don't have experience with racing tires on a hybrid but it makes sense that you will run out of gears because you will be able to bike faster than the gearing on the bike.

  6. Beautiful tires!! They look great.

I have two road bikes (the Cervelo and an older Terry bike), so I have no idea about the road tires on a hybrid bike....but seems like it'd work just great!

  7. I'm so glad to hear that you went!!!!!! Every single time I go to the PT they have to put my hips back into place. Seriously. I wouldn't get better without going either- things would just continue to get worse. Way to be smart about it!

And nice wheels. You are the coolest triathlete.

I swear I have added your blog to my google reader before, but for some reason it never showed up. It's there FOR SURE now! yay!

  8. Why not change the cluster? And have an 11 tooth. That should give plenty of top-end speed even with a hybrid. Probably better to stay with a high cadence near 100, so you wouldn't need too much gearing anyway. Bikes are a thing of beauty.
